4.1 Local Storage

5.1 AI/LLM Features (Optional)
If you choose to use optional AI features (such as automated character analysis), you may configure API connections to third-party AI providers. When using these features:
- Data is sent directly from your computer to the AI provider you configure
- We do not intermediate or store this data
- You should review the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider
- These features are entirely optional and disabled by default
5.2 NER (Named Entity Recognition) Models
DeepQuill includes optional NER models for character recognition. These models run entirely on your local computer and do not transmit your text to external servers.
5.3 Google User Data (Google Drive & Google Docs)
DeepQuill works entirely on your own machine and does not require a Google account. Connecting Google is entirely optional. If you choose to connect your Google account, DeepQuill requests access to Google Drive and/or Google Docs solely to let you import, read, or sync the writing-related files you select (your manuscripts and related documents) so you can work with them in DeepQuill and keep them in sync across your own devices.
- DeepQuill accesses only the files you explicitly choose; it does not browse or collect your wider Google Drive contents.
- DeepQuill does not use Google user data for advertising.
- DeepQuill does not sell Google user data.
- DeepQuill does not transfer Google user data to others except as needed to provide the app's writing and manuscript features (for example, syncing your selected files between your own devices), or as required by law.
- DeepQuill does not use Google user data to train generalized or third-party artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
- You can disconnect Google access at any time from DeepQuill's settings or your Google Account permissions page.
DeepQuill's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can use DeepQuill without connecting Google; Google access is required only if you want to work with files stored in Google Drive or Google Docs.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties except:
